Twilight arrived in the mail yesterday. After work and various household chores last night I picked up the un-opened hardback book. There is just something about cracking open a hardback book that hasn't been opened before that feels me with joy.
Anyway, back to the book. I can't say that I love this book. I did make it half way through last night before putting it down. Stephanie Meyer's writing style is a little choppy to me and seems to drag on. However, it has peaked my interest and I have to finish it to figure out what happens. Since there are more books to follow I am sure I will end up reading them too, so I get the whole story.

oh no!!! why did you do it? why did you fall into this? I am sorry....
I guess I do not really have a voice in this since I never read it just every LDS person... ok, girl, I know has read it... *sigh*
I was leaving a REALLY long message on my feelings for these books but I'll keep it short instead. I was the same as you with Twilight but I'm glad I gave the rest of the books a chance because I ended up really liking them. I HATE when they are compared to Harry Potter as they are nowhere near as great as those books (which you wouldn't know anyway) but they are great in their own way...you can decide for yourself soon enough.
p.s. you can borrow my copies of the rest of the books (since they're all hard bound if you want to rather than buy them all...unless you're like me and like to buy them).
Last night while reading I realized that I was going to have to read the whole series to get my answer of what happens. I purchased New Moon this morning.
Kim, thanks for offering to let me borrow your books. I am like you, I like to have my own copies.
I found out last night that the Author's mom tried to set Scott or Mark up with the author when they were all younger. The author was raised in Arizona, and her parents still live here and are family neighbors. Wouldn't that have been interesting?
You are just starting to read them??? By the way I didn't like New Moon, but Eclipse was great. good luck trying to get anything else done because you won't be able to do anything untill you get the third book and then the fourth so right now your life is officially put on hold untill you finish the series!!!! Infact I would just read a little bit everyday on the third book because It was good I never wanted it to end.
