Spell It Out craziness

Business at Spell It Out has been crazy this month. At the beginning of the month I launched my line of vinyl chalkboards. I hoped they would do well but wasn't expecting the amount of coverage I got regarding them. I have been featured on two major design blogs and have sent chalkboards as far as Australia - all in a month!

I want to thank all of you that have been supportive in this venture. But most of all I want to express my thanks to Jon. Although I have personally told him on many occasions that I appreciate all of his help, designing and support in this business - all of you should know as well.

I hope the success of SIO continues and that Needle and Pin Productions is just as successful.

All updates, media highlights and product releases for Spell It Out can be found at the SIO blog.

The Muddy Moose

I held a giveaway on my blog this past weekend and this Etsy seller entered. From there I took a look at her stuff and it's marvelous! Best of all is that she makes and sells bath bombs. If you haven't ever used a bath bomb, you are missing out. I first encountered these marvelous items about 7 years ago when I was sent to Vancouver Canada and encountered the Lush store.

But ignore I mentioned Lush, because The Muddy Moose has handmade soaps, lotions and bath bombs just like Lush but for LESS! And, it gets even better. The Muddy Moose has a blog giveaway this week where they are giving away 2 gift baskets full of their goodies!

Check out their blog to enter into the contest. Then go to their Etsy store to check out their goods!

A girl can never have too much...

There are a lot of things that a girl can never have too much of. One thing is good makeup. A couple of years ago I switch from regular eyeshadow to using pigments. I absolutely love them! So when I came across this Etsy seller, CalypsoMineralBeauty, I fell in love. She sells eyeshadow pigments and they are mineral which has all sort of other added benefits. Mineral Makeup doesn't have as many ingredients as drugstore makeups and it has even been said it has healing properties. Mineral Makeup is also claimed to have natural SPF protection which protects you from harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Well enough with the gabbing and on to the makeup!

All of these colors are currently listed in her Etsy shop, along with tons of other goodies. I strongly encourage you to check her out!

New Chalkboards!

Check out the Spell It Out blog for new chalkboard designs!

Sassy on a budget

Although I have no room for new furniture I find that I look at new pieces all of the time. Recently I was browsing on the Target website and was surprised to find some really cute and stylish pieces of furniture, but for a budget price.

This last piece, the ottoman, totally reminds me of a print that you would find on your grandma's couch. But I totally love it. Not only is it a small, out of the way seating option, it also doubles as storage.

Now I just need to get a bigger house so I can buy more furniture.

Studio 5

I was on the Studio 5 show this morning, and it was a blast. Everyone there was super nice and although I was a little nervous I think I did a good job. As I am writing this the video from today is not up on the Studio 5 site yet, but it should be by tomorrow and you can find it here.

I am going to be on TV

This coming Wednesday, Feb. 18th, I am going to be on Ksl's Studio 5. I was contacted over the weekend by Brooke Walker who asked if I would be on the show and have my Needle & Pin Production felt cases highlighted. Apparently, they had been brought to her attention from someone she knows; she thought they were cute and wanted to have them on the show. There will be some other local business owners and their products also highlighted during the segment.

The show starts at 11 am on channel 5. I am super nervous. Wish me luck!

Vinyl Chalkboards

The wait is finally over! My big announcement is that Spell It Out has newly designed (thanks Jon) vinyl chalkboards. I am super excited about these. As I have mentioned to a few of you I have been wanting to change the direction of Spell It Out a little. I will still offer vinyl letting and such, but I wanted to start offering some fabulous home decor items. This is the first of many things to come. In this post I am highlighting the first home decor chalkboards we have to offer.

The Victorian

The Ribbon

The Martha

The Crest
(The Crest is available as a solid or with element trim. Both styles seen above)

Each of these frames is available through the Spell It Out Etsy Store. Please note this is a different Etsy store than the Needle & Pin Productions. Also, we will have different home decor and styles for children in the coming weeks. You can always check in on what's new at the Spell It Out blog.
